Fairphone Repair
I've had my Fairphone4 for about four and a half years. Recently, it was having trouble with rapid charging and cables staying in. It also seemed like phone calls were having trouble connecting.
So I ordered some new parts. For ~£60 I bought: a new usb port, top speaker, and lower speaker assembly. The lowet speaker contains some 5g aparatus.
Changing all these parts over was a 15 minute job. Super easy. I really appreciate being in a position to be able to do this with such ease. It'll mean I don't have to buy a new phone.
I canct help but think that it'll.be the software that lets this phone down. Eventually, there'll be no updates for the SoC. Maybe /e/ will stop getting updates. Such a shame that nice hardware gets let down by software lifetime.
